Buenos Aires round trip via the Drake Passage

This is the planned sequence in the supplied itinerary. Days 5–13 form a flexible Antarctic exploration period, not a guaranteed three-day stay in the Weddell Sea. The captain and Expedition Team decide the route, landings and activities according to weather, seas and ice.

D1
Arrive in Buenos Aires

Arrive in Argentina and check into your hotel. Spend the day at leisure before heading to Ushuaia. Confirm international flights and arrival transfers separately.

D2
Fly to Ushuaia and board MS Roald Amundsen

Fly to Ushuaia and board the ship. Settle into your cabin, attend the safety briefing and meet the Expedition Team.

D3–4
Cross the Drake Passage

Sail toward the Antarctic Peninsula. Join polar talks, learn landing procedures and visit the Science Center or observation areas. Sea conditions can be rough; follow the crew's advice.

D5
Begin exploring the Antarctic Peninsula

Enter waters surrounded by icebergs and snow-covered mountains. The team plans small-boat cruising or landings as conditions permit, with opportunities to look for penguins, seals and other wildlife.

D6–8
Weddell Sea: tabular icebergs and expedition history

The plan is to explore the Weddell Sea east of the peninsula, known for tabular icebergs and Shackleton's expedition history. Access, time spent here and landing sites depend on ice and weather. Emperor penguin sightings are not guaranteed.

D9–13
Continue exploring the Antarctic Peninsula

Explore bays and islands with landings, small-boat cruising and onboard talks when conditions allow. The order can change. Ask separately about availability and charges for optional kayaking or camping.

D14–15
Return across the Drake Passage

Sail north toward Ushuaia. Sort your photographs, join onboard activities and reflect on your time in Antarctica.

D16
Disembark in Ushuaia and fly to Buenos Aires

Disembark and fly back to Buenos Aires. Allow sufficient time for onward international travel; do not book a tight connection before the domestic flight schedule is confirmed.

ExpeditionEach day depends on the conditions

Routes, landings and wildlife sightings depend on weather and sea ice. Weddell Sea access and emperor penguins are not guaranteed.
