Offer notes

Please confirm available dates, room type, and inventory before booking.

Share your departure date, party size, and preferred room type so we can confirm exact fare conditions.

01 / Weddell Sea

Allow more time for the eastern peninsula

The itinerary leaves time to explore the peninsula and attempt the Weddell Sea. Look for tabular icebergs, floating ice and wildlife along the way.

Access and time in the Weddell Sea depend on ice and weather. Emperor penguin sightings are not guaranteed.
02 / On board

A comfortable base between outings

The hybrid-powered expedition ship has a Science Center, pool, sauna and observation spaces. Outside, superior and suite categories are offered; confirm room size and balcony features for the exact grade.

Facilities and activities can be affected by weather, maintenance and opening hours.
03 / Language

Confirm Chinese-language assistance when booking

Chinese-language assistance is planned for this product. We will check the selected date's tour leader, onboard staff and the scope of support before you book.

This does not mean all ship services or expeditions are conducted in Chinese, and it is not a private guide service.

16-day itinerary

Buenos Aires round trip via the Drake Passage

This is the planned sequence in the supplied itinerary. Days 5–13 form a flexible Antarctic exploration period, not a guaranteed three-day stay in the Weddell Sea. The captain and Expedition Team decide the route, landings and activities according to weather, seas and ice.

DAY 1

Arrive in Buenos Aires

Arrive in Argentina and check into your hotel. Spend the day at leisure before heading to Ushuaia. Confirm international flights and arrival transfers separately.

DAY 2

Fly to Ushuaia and board MS Roald Amundsen

Fly to Ushuaia and board the ship. Settle into your cabin, attend the safety briefing and meet the Expedition Team.

DAY 3–4

Cross the Drake Passage

Sail toward the Antarctic Peninsula. Join polar talks, learn landing procedures and visit the Science Center or observation areas. Sea conditions can be rough; follow the crew's advice.

DAY 5

Begin exploring the Antarctic Peninsula

Enter waters surrounded by icebergs and snow-covered mountains. The team plans small-boat cruising or landings as conditions permit, with opportunities to look for penguins, seals and other wildlife.

DAY 6–8

Weddell Sea: tabular icebergs and expedition history

The plan is to explore the Weddell Sea east of the peninsula, known for tabular icebergs and Shackleton's expedition history. Access, time spent here and landing sites depend on ice and weather. Emperor penguin sightings are not guaranteed.

DAY 9–13

Continue exploring the Antarctic Peninsula

Explore bays and islands with landings, small-boat cruising and onboard talks when conditions allow. The order can change. Ask separately about availability and charges for optional kayaking or camping.

DAY 14–15

Return across the Drake Passage

Sail north toward Ushuaia. Sort your photographs, join onboard activities and reflect on your time in Antarctica.

DAY 16

Disembark in Ushuaia and fly to Buenos Aires

Disembark and fly back to Buenos Aires. Allow sufficient time for onward international travel; do not book a tight connection before the domestic flight schedule is confirmed.
